Technology has really made people lazier over the years as many activities have become automated, freeing up our time for other things. One activity that had remained intact was filling up the car with fuel, a thing that especially men like to do – because you know, it makes us feel like men.
Well, it looks like the near future may change that as well, because Husky and Fuelmatics have developed a robot that can fill up the gas tank on its own. The only condition is to have a capless fuel tank – and of course, to park the car with the fuel door towards the robot. The new equipment has been demonstrated at the 2013 Petroleum Equipment Institute (PEI) convention in Atlanta, Georgia.
According to Husky, the robot shortens refueling by 30 percent. You can watch it at work in the video below.
