Honda's Motorcycle Arm Goes Japanimation with Production-Intent NM4 [w/Videos]

Just because we focus on automobiles doesn't mean we don't care about the world of two wheels, and since Honda did tell us about its two new futuristic-looking concept bikes revealed today at the 30th Osaka Motorcycle Show 2014 in Japan, here we are…

Honda S660 Concept Revives the Spirit of the Beat, Points to 2014 Production Model

Honda has released the first photos of its new S660 Concept, just ahead of its world premiere at this year's Tokyo Motor Show in late November. The S660 looks like an evolved concept of the 2011 EV-STER and is believed to preview the small roadster mentioned by Honda CEO Takanobu Ito last year. Ito had said at the time that a small open-top sports car would go on sale in Japan in 2014.

While very few details were released by the Japanese carmaker, the S660 looks like a spiritual successor to the Pininfarina-designed 1991-1996 Beat kei-class roadster.

The pint-sized roadster's name suggests that, unlike the electric-powered EV-STER, the S660 is fitted with a 0.66-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine, possibly, but not certainly, positioned mid-ship, judging by the side and rear vents.

The two seater model will be joined in Tokyo by the world premiere of the production version of the Honda Fit / Jazz-based Urban SUV Concept, unveiled at the 2013 North American International Auto Show in January of this year, as well as the N-WGN, the fourth model of the N Series of mini-vehicles.

Also on display will be a number of motorcycle debuts such as the Dunk, a 50 cc scooter equipped with a newly-developed liquid-cooled engine and the CB1300 SUPER BOL D'OR that comes with LED headlights and a 6-speed transmission.

Honda Teases New Urban SUV Concept Ahead of Detroit Auto Show Debut

A single teaser image along with a very short statement is all we get about Honda's new Urban SUV Concept study that will receive its world premiere in January at the 2013 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit.
Here's what the Japanese automaker told us in the press blurb:
"The Urban SUV Concept, teased in a sketch released today, is a global concept model combining a sporty and dynamic SUV profile with a spacious, functional interior."

Honda Teases New Civic Station Wagon and Shows New Civic 1.6L Diesel in Paris

Honda appears to be full of surprises these days. Just last week, the Japanese automaker's CEO confirmed the development of several cars including a Civic Type R hot hatch for Europe, a new Jazz / Fit supermini that will also spawn an SUV derivative, and a 'sporty' roadster.
Today, Honda's European President Manabu Nishimae revealed plans to add a new model to the carmaker's range during his Paris Motor Show press conference.
The vehicle announced today is a new derivative of Honda's European Civic in the form of a station wagon model. Honda went one step further and released a teaser image of the pre-production concept that will be shown next year, most likely at the Geneva Salon in March or the Frankfurt Motor Show in September.
