Carscoops Reader from Down Under Says Happy Halloween with Some Italian Eye Candy

"Hi guys, would you be interested in featuring this as a Halloween special?" was the email we received late last night from our Australian reader Lee. Call us weak-willed, but we're suckers for beautiful and exotic supercars here at Carscoops so we asked Lee to forward us a few more shots of his Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4.

While at a first glance it would appear that the nicely done two-tone exterior with a black body and wheels, with orange accents, was wrapped specially for Halloween, it turns out that this is how Lee ordered the car from Lamborghini.

"The car was ordered from the factory with many unique features and fully optioned," Lee told us in an email.

"I've had a Caballo ECU update which brings it up to 740hp, the Lamborghini exhaust upgrade, carbon fibre pieces on the exterior, optional black wheels, orange calipers, sportivo interior, rear camera, parking sensors, rear badge in orange, multifunction perforated steering wheel, Lamborghini sound hifi option, carbon engine cover, black tyre valve caps, custom floor mat clips with my name on them, I ticked all the options boxes...," he added.

Check out more photos of this black beauty in the gallery past the jump, and if you have any Halloween-themed cars in mind that you would like to share, post them in the comments area.

Thanks to Lee for sharing the pictures!

Lamborghini Aventador Matte Orange-Red Chrome Wrap Will Cost You as Much as a Fiesta

Foil wraps to change the exterior color of your car have become a much more mainstream trend these days, but not all jobs are the same, and neither do they cost the same. Then again, if you can afford a Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4, then you surely can afford not to care to ask about the price.

If you're a curious George, though, learn that this matte orange-red chrome wrap from Germany's Print Tech, starts at €10,000 (approximately US$13,800 at today's currency rates) for the body plus the use of a black brushed look wrap for certain other elements on the car.

This particular client also ticked the boxes for privacy windows (€200 or US$275), glossy black powder coated rims (€1,200 or US$1,650) and a Capristo exhaust system (€1,500 or US$2,100), lifting the total cost of the tune to a paltry €12,900 or US$17,800.

DMC Kits Lamborghini Aventador Roadster Into an SV

German tuner of all things exotic, DMC, claims that it's very selective when it comes to its limited edition of styling packages, and in some cases, it only offers them to existing clients. The same applies to the 'Spezial Version' or 'SV' for the Lamborghini Aventador, of which only 10 will be made available exclusively to current owners of its Molto Veloce kit.

Recently, the tuner completed the only Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 in Roadster guise in the world to feature the SV package and shared the pictures with us.

The car comes with the aggressive looking and protruding on both ends aerodynamic kit with all parts made from visible carbon fiber, while the owner of the car also opted for Dione alloy wheels (20-inch at the front and 21-inch at the rear) covering orange brake calipers.

You can take a better look at the car in the gallery that follows.

How Far Can the Lamborghini Aventador Coupe and Roadster Jump?

One of the worst moments of being an automotive journalist testing an exotic supercar that you probably can't afford unless your name starts with 'Jeremy' and ends in 'Clarkson' is the dreaded moment that you have to hand over the keys to a coworker, or even worse, the company that you borrowed it from.

But hey, the emotional pain may actually be worth it if you can get away with things that you'd likely never attempt if you owned it, like, let's say, see how far it can jump at speed…

Trying to steal some of TG's (yes, the show everyone loves to hate) thunder, Autocar magazine and Steve Sutcliffe took a Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 Coupe and its roadster sibling, "booked a private test track, called in the slo-mo camera crew and set a series of light-hearted challenges for our intrepid supercar pairing", with the first challenge being which one can jump the furthest.

Check out the outcome for yourself in the video below the…jump.

Santa Claus Chills Out with Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 Roadster

Like many other companies these festive days, Italian supercar-maker Lamborghini is also embracing the Christmas spirit with a video that focuses on Santa Claus.
We meet the man in the red suit chilling out in a bar in the North Pole on Christmas Eve at 6:30 PM ordering multiple milkshakes with no intention to leave. The clock ticks pass 10 PM, but Santa shows no desire to stop drinking milkshakes, much to the dismay of the grumpy barman.

DMC Applies J Speedster Looks on Limited Run Lamborghini Aventador LP900 SV

If you have a heart that beats strongly inside you, then you must have felt something about Lamborghini's €2.1 million Aventador J Speedster that was presented at this year's Geneva motor show.
However, wanting and being able to obtain the roofless Aventador J Speedster are two different things. Even if you could afford it, Lamborghini only built one specimen that was sold to an unnamed buyer even before we laid our eyes on the car.

2013MY Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 gets Cylinder Deactivation, Start/Stop and Refined Chassis

The spotlight at Lamborghini's Paris Motor Show stand may be on the cosmetically refreshed Gallardo LP560-4, but it isn't the only Raging Bull model to receive an update for the new model year.
Joining the Gallardo is the 2013 version of Lamborghini's flagship Aventador LP700-4, which was upgraded on several levels, despite the fact that it has only been on the market for less than a year.
In fact, the changes on the Aventador are far more substantial than on the Gallardo beginning with the adoption of newly developed start-stop and cylinder deactivation systems for the V12 engine.
The start-stop system used on the Aventador is unique and comes fitted with high-performance capacitors known as "supercaps", which allow for a much faster start up than a conventional unit at 180 milliseconds or 0.18 seconds.

Lamborghini to "Surprise" us at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show as well

On Wednesday, an official source from within the VW Group more or less confirmed the debut of a luxury SUV concept from Lamborghini at the Beijing Auto Show in China in April.
Today we learn that the Sant'Agata sports car maker has yet another "surprise" in store for us, this time at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show in March.
The news comes from an email statement from a Lamborghini spokesperson after the crew over at GT Spirit asked the company about the rumors circulating around the web. Here's what the press representative answered
